Seiko Seikomatic “Weekdater” 6206-8040
History:
Seikomatic was the brand used for Seiko’s automatic-winding mechanical watches from 1960 throughout the 1960s, starting with caliber 603/6201, the first member of the caliber 62 movement family. Seikomatic, Seikomatic Self Daters, and Seikomatic Weekdater used various members of the caliber 62 movement family, which was designed by Suwa Seikosha.
Watch Details:
Production Date: October 1966
Movement: 6206a, automatic winding
Dial: In good condition but wear at the rim can be seen between 3 and 4 o’clock. This is hardly visible when used.
Hands: In very good condition without any scratches or marks.
Crystal: Replaced with acrylic.
Case: In good condition with small marks and hairlines.
Bracelet: Genuine leather strap
Accuracy: +/- 10 seconds/day
Power Reserve: 40 hours
